Sphynxes Colors

All colors in any combination found in felines, are acknowledged in the Sphynx breed. It should be remembered that the Sphynxes skin can get a sun tan. Under the sun’s influence the color intensifies.

Main colors:
WHITE: skin color ranges from white to pink. Nose and paw pads are pink.
BLACK: one black color tone from nose to tail. Nose: black. Paw pads: black or brown.
BLUE: one color tone from nose to tail. Nose and paw pads: blue.
RED: deep, rich, clear, red color with no points. Lips and chin: similar to the skin color. Nose and paw pads: red-brown.
CREAM: one cream shade all over the body, points. Nose and paw pads: pink.
CHOCOLATE: rich reddish-brown, smoothly spread all over the body. Nose: brown. Paw pads: brown or cinnamon.
LILAC: frosty gray with pinkish tone, smoothly spread. Nose and paw pads: pink, lavender.
CINNAMON: cinnamon color smoothly spread throughout the body. Nose and paw pads: cinnamon.
FAUN: pale light beige color, which can be compared with deer coat, smoothly spread throughout the body. Nose and paw pads: pale beige and pink.

Tabby colors:

MARBLE: points clearly defined on legs and tail. Pattern tends to fade in the bald body. On the legs there are points in the form of brackets, opened to the inner surface of the legs, turning into the points on the body. The tail is covered with smooth rings. You can see several closed necklaces on neck and upper chest. Characteristic points could be on the cat’s skin. Line formed in a characteristic pattern for this color on the muzzle — an inverted «M» letter. Direct continuous strip extends from the outer corner of the eye. There is a (round) pattern on the cheeks. Vertical lines on the back of the head extends towards the blades forming a a butterfly-shaped pattern on the sides, with upper and lower wings clearly distinguished on the skin. Further points consists of line extending along the spine from the butterfly to the tail, with stripes extending parallel to the spine line on both sides of it. The three lines are divided by less strongly colored skin areas. There are a big contrast spots, circled by one or more rings on each side of the body. Such points should be symmetrical on both sides.

MACKEREL: points clearly defined on legs and tail. Pattern tends to fade in the bald body. On the legs there are points in the form of brackets, opened to the inner surface of the legs, turning into the points on the body. The tail is covered with closed rings. Necklaces on neck and chest are narrower, but there are more of them. There are points, resembling an inverted «M» letter. Direct continuous strip extends from the outer corner of the eye. Straight lines from head extend to shoulders. Spine lines create a pattern that resembles a narrow saddle. There are thin, possibly intermittent points in the form of strips extending across the body.

SPOTTED: points are on the head, paws and tail, they correspond to the two previous descriptions. There are spots that can be oblong, circular or take the form of sockets, they located on the body. Any form of spot is permitted. Spots should not merge, forming a figure of

MACKEREL: The back strip runs from the blades to the tip of the tail. The strip may consist of spots. On the belly you can find spots that sometimes called «vest buttons.» Pattern tends to fade in the bald body.

TORTIE TABBY COLOUR: black, chocolate, blue, lilac, cinnamon, fawn tabby color with red or cream-colored staining sections, clearly visible on the body and limbs. Presence of red (cream) is desirable on the muzzle.

SILVER TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin is pale, almost white. Points of a rich black color. Nose: red-brown. Paw pads: black.

BLACK TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin is copper-red or brown. Points of a rich black color. Lips and chin as well are of the same color as rings around the eyes (the lower and upper eyelid’s skin). Nose: red-brown. Paw pads: black or brown.

BLUE TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin are of a pale bluish ivory. Points are of a very dense blue that is contrasting with the main color. Nose: dark pink. Paw pads: pink.

RED TABBY COLOUR: basic skin color is red. Points of a rich deep red color. Lips and chin are red. Nose and paw pads: red-brown.

CREAM TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin are pale cream. The points are of a dark cream color and they make up a significant contrast with the main color, but remaining within the weak colors. Nose and paw pads: pink.

CHOCOLATE TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin is warm beige (deer), points ranges in the rich red-brown tones. Nose: chestnut or pink within rim of a chestnut color. Paw pads: brown.

CHOCOLATE-SILVER TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin is silver. Points of a rich chestnut color. Nose: chestnut or pink within rim of a chestnut color. Paw pads: brown.

CINNAMON TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin is pale honey, points are dark brown, they have significant contrast with the main skin color. Nose: brown or coral within rim of a chestnut color.

CINNAMON SILVER TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin is pale silver. Points of a saturated lilac (brown) color. Nose: lilac (brown). Paw pads: coral.

LILAC TABBY COLOUR: basic color is pale lavender. Points of saturated lavender, they have a significant contrast with the main skin color. Nose: lavender or pink within rim of a lavender color. Paw pads: pink or lavender.

LILAC-SILVER TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin, including lips and chin is cold light silver. Points of a saturated lavender color. Nose: lavender or pink within rim of a lavender color. Paw pads: pink or lavender.

FAWN TABBY COLOUR: the main color of the skin including lips and chin is ivory. Points of a light beige (young deer), they have a significant contrast with the main skin color. Nose and paw pads: very light beige.

TORTIE: black with red and (or) cream areas. Red point on the muzzle in desirable.

BLUE-CREAM COLOUR: blue with areas of cream color. Cream point on the muzzle in desirable.

CHOCOLATE TORTIE COLOR: intense reddish-brown color with red and (or) cream colored areas. Red point on the muzzle in desirable.

CINNAMON TORTIE COLOR: frosty gray or brown with areas of a cream color. Red point on the muzzle in desirable.

LILAC TORTIE COLOR: pale lavender color with areas of cream color. Cream point on the muzzle in desirable.

FAWN TORTIE: skin color tone of a light ivory (young deer fur) with a cream-colored spots. Cream point on the muzzle in desirable.

CALICO: Main skin color is white with of black, red or their combination. White dominates on the lower body.

VAN CALICO: main skin color is white, black or red spots are only on the head, tail and legs. Only 1 or 2 small colored spots are allowed on the body.

BLUE-CREAM CALICO: main skin color is white with areas of blue and cream colors. White dominates on the lower body.

BLUE-CREAM VAN CALICO: main skin color is white, blue or cream spots are only on the head, tail and legs. Only 1 or 2 small colored spots are allowed on the body.

BICOLOR: there are two colors — white and any other: solid white, tabby and white, tortie and white, colorpoint with white, any color with white.

VAN BICOLOR: white and any other color combined with white, tabby and white, tortie and white, and so on. Colored spots are only on the head, tail and legs. Only 1 or 2 small colored spots are allowed on the body.

COLORPOINT: points on the muzzle, paws and tail contrasting with a light tone. Cats with colorpoint are born without the dark spots, points become noticeable as they grow older. The body is also getting darker like points with age. Eye color: bright blue. Nose and paw pads: matching the points color. Colorpoint can be combined with any other color but mink. For example: lilac-silver point or black tortie with white point.

MINK : limb’s points are less contrast in relation to the body color. Sphynxes of such color are born very light, but darken with age and when they are adult they form an impression of evenly colored. Eyes color: aquamarine. Nose and paw pads: matching the points color. Mink color can be combined with any other color except colorpoint. For example: natural mink, blue mink, chocolate (champagne) mink, natural tabby mink, blue-cream mink and tortie on a white mink.

SEPIA (sable): adult animal is of a rich, warm sable color without tabby or different color points. Kittens are usually of a lighter shade. Nose and paw pads: brown.

CHAMPAGNE: adult animal must be of a light honey color without tabby or different color points. Nose: light warm brown color. Paw pads: warm pinkish brown.

PLATINUM: adult animal should be of a very light silver-blue color without tabby or different color points. Nose and paw pads: pink and lavender.
